Today is day 4 of VBS Summer Camp here at Saint Peter Claver.

Our theme this year is RAINFOREST FALLS, Exploring the Nature of God.

Each day the kids learn about one of the natures of God through fun activities, videos, stories and songs.

Day 1 they learn God is Our Creator.

Day 2, God Knows Everything.

Day 3, God is Our Safe Place.

Day 4, God is Love.

Day 5, God is Forever.

It is so amazing witnessing these beautiful children grow in faith and in sincere friendship with each other.

It is also amazing witnessing the hard work of 27 volunteers enabling the kids to have a great week encountering God’s love for them.

One of the natures of God that I am very drawn to is His gentleness.

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Matthew 11:28-30

In this coming Sunday’s Gospel Jesus’ invitation is so gentle and loving.

He invites us into His gentle nature, to surrender ourselves to His loving care.

As the kids yell in response all week at VBS Summer Camp, WOW GOD!
