As you know, after this past weekend, we have a new Administrator,

Father Matthew Miguel.

The staff was asked to answer a series of questions that would help him get to know us a bit.

One of the questions I answered was what is something I am looking forward to this season of Faith Formation? Unlocking the Mysteries of the Bible was my answer.

That is a Bible series that begins in August with The Bible Timeline.

It is going to take us through several books in the Bible, journeying through God’s story, which is our story.

That excites me.

I have always loved reading and learning about the stories of our faith in the Bible.

Way back when I was in high school a priest suggested to me to start reading the Bible by simply reading the daily Mass readings.

I have been doing that ever since.

I would love to participate in a Bible Study, but they never seem to match up with my work schedule.

Well, the one that we have beginning in August does.

I’m excited for all the adults of the parish to have the opportunity to experience this Bible series, including myself.

This morning as I prayed Morning Prayer, I asked the Holy Spirit to please move many hearts to want to sign up.

Just now I read this coming Sunday’s Mass readings and look!

Thus says the LORD: Just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down and do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful… my word shall not return to me void, but shall do my will… Isaiah 55:10a, 11b

That is part of the First Reading for this Sunday…coincidence? No!

The Holy Spirit is moving.
