The Unfailing Hope of God's Love for Us

Saturday night I was at the high school graduation party of my cousin’s son.
There were these fun little postcards with several sentences to complete for the graduate.
One sentence starter read, “Never forget___________________________”.
I wrote “God unconditionally loves you.”
God the Father…
Sunday morning on my drive in to work I was overwhelmed with joy as I listened to the song, I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe. (Please click the link and listen!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNDEyxEMNp0&list=RDZNDEyxEMNp0&start_radio=1
I had the realization that I don’t have to just imagine about what it may be like when I die and am before Jesus, I can stand before Jesus any time in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. So can you.
God the Son…
Sunday over 70 people received the Sacrament of Confirmation, 16 of which were adults. It was also Pentecost Sunday, the Holy Spirit came, and the Church was born.
Through the Holy Spirit our Church continues to grow worldwide.
God the Holy Spirit…
…hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. Romans 5:5
This coming Sunday Saint Paul tells us in the Second Reading that hope does not disappoint.
Why?
Because the love of God has been given to us, literally, through Jesus.
The Holy Spirit fills our hearts with that love.
Our hope is that love.
This coming Sunday we celebrate the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Let’s make the Sign of the Cross over ourselves as we head out the door each day this week and start each day with the unfailing hope of God’s love for us.
Blessings of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
