I am late in sitting and writing to you. The work that I have been busy doing has kept you on my mind and in my heart.

Some of you have come into the Faith Formation Office to register your children for VBS Summer Camp or to register your family for the coming 2025-2026 season of Faith Formation.

Catechists have stopped by to talk about the coming season.

It is always great to see and talk with you all!

We had our third VBS Team Huddle last night and I left on such a high. It is so awesome to work with such great youth and adults and get excited about a great week of fun ahead.

The news of all that is happening in our state and in our nation can leave us feeling down and even hopeless. It is so important not to focus on all the negative.

I choose to focus on God Moments.

Beautiful sunny days ending with a cool breeze in the evening.

A bird nest on my balcony with four eggs that have hatched.

Hitting “Submit” on a 10-page paper for a class.

Working with energy filled, eager to help people on VBS Summer Camp.

The smiles on the faces of our two new priests.

Singing at the top of my lungs to a good song on the radio on my drive to work.

Those are some of my God Moments this past week.

What are yours?

This coming Sunday Jesus sends out 72 disciples in pairs to go out before Him and spend time with people.

Bring them healing.

Bring them peace.

Eat a meal with them.

Those are God Moments Jesus wants to send us out to share as well.

…and say to them, 'The kingdom of God is at hand for you.' Luke 10:9

At the end of Jesus’ instructions to the disciples before they go out, He says that verse. Tell them ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.’

That simply means tell people they are not alone.

Tell people God is with you and He loves you.

What family member or friend needs you to bring them a God Moment?

Yes, we are in difficult times, but we can focus on Jesus and His love for us – that love that gives us a joy nothing can take away…that’s who I praise!
