Making Decisions and Voting

Pray Our Way Through This Political Season

Political ads fill our mailboxes.

Political commercials interrupt our shows.

Candidates for President and Vice President are out on the campaign trail.

Political rhetoric is filling social media.

Someone was telling me yesterday about their sincere concern in making decisions that God would want them to make in voting.

Look what wisdom is coming to us in this coming Sunday’s second Mass reading:

Beloved: Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every foul practice. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy or insincerity.

James 3:16-17

If our minds and hearts are open to Him, God really does guide us in our decision making.

Let’s remember to pray our way through this political season.

Blessings of God's guidance!
