If I asked a friend of yours to describe you, what do you think they would say?

If you are a parent and I asked your child to describe you, what do you think they would say?

If you work and I asked one of your coworkers to describe you, what do you think they would say?

A friend of mine recently told me who I am in their eyes.

I was humbled by the good things they saw in me.

Yesterday a coworker described who I am in their eyes.

What she said gave me strength to persevere through the anxiety I was feeling.

I just read this coming Sunday’s Gospel reading and Jesus asks us that question.

And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Mark 8:29

My answer is Jesus is the Son of God.

He loves me and you unconditionally and wants nothing but the best for us.

Jesus is with us each moment of our day and night.

He wants to grow in a relationship with us, so I talk with Him all the time.

He is kind, compassionate, forgiving, and supportive. Jesus is patient with me.

I am a disciple of Jesus, striving to follow Him in my life.

I like to help people feel His love.

Jesus brings me true peace and joy.

Knowing who Jesus is helps me know who I am.
