Saturday and yesterday Alondra and I were on the Plaza after every Mass at a table with all sorts of Faith Formation info. We got to talk with lots of our parishioners.

We also took our table to the Parish Picnic and got to meet lots more people.

One of the ladies I talked with was telling me about her relationship with “her Jesus.”

“My Jesus tells me…”

“My Jesus guides me to…”

“I am blessed by my Jesus.”

In this coming Sunday’s Gospel reading, Jesus asks His disciples a question.

He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Matthew 16:15 

Through the words that lady used as she talked with me, I have a sense of how she would answer that question.

How would I answer Jesus if He stood before me right now and asked me, “Laura, who do you say that I am?”

How would you?
