SCUBA ~ Diving into Friendship with God, that’s the theme of VBS Summer Camp for this week here at Saint Peter Claver.

I have been reading through 5 days’ worth of skits, songs, games, and all sorts of fun things with that theme this past week.

It seems to me that growing in a friendship with God through skits, songs, games and things is something that would be great for adults too!

Each day has a simple message:

God is a friend who’s real.

God is a friend who loves.

God is a friend we can trust.

God is a friend forever.

God is a friend for everyone.

What simple, yet if we really take them to heart, profound truths about God.

He chose each person on this planet to be His friend – even more, His daughter or son.

Maybe you too can reflect on one of those 5 messages each day this week, and when you hear in the Second Reading at Mass this coming Sunday the Scripture verse below, you’ll really feel the joy of those words of praise.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him. Ephesians 1:3-4
