Jessica and I were out on the Plaza after all the Masses this past weekend and I watched her meet lots of people who came up to welcome her.
I love being out on the Plaza after all the Masses on a weekend – I get to see and say “Hi” to many of you.
This past May I began my fifth year serving here at Saint Peter Claver.

I have been blessed by getting to know many of you.
I pray that I’ve helped plant God’s seeds and helped His seeds grow.
I hope that you nurture them and grow in your relationship with Him and His Church.

…my word shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it… Isaiah 55:11b

In this coming Sunday’s First Reading we are reminded that God’s Word does not come down to us without having any effect on us.
It has purpose.
In this coming Sunday’s Gospel Reading Jesus tells a parable or story about a person throwing seed out on a path.
Some seed takes root and grows and even produces fruit.

Do you see the connection between the two readings?

Spring Sowing Seeds | IT IS FINISHED

Jessica and I have been excitedly talking about Youth & Young Adult Ministry. We are praying that the Holy Spirit fills us and guides us in helping to plant God’s seeds and in helping to enable them to grow in the youth and young adults that we get to encounter this coming season.

Remember to pray for yourself and ask God to let the seeds of His loving presence grow in you. Nurture them by taking moments to do what turns your focus to Him this week.

Blessings to you!
