It was so great to see you Elementary Faith Formation Catechists and families yesterday!

The mama I saw who is due in a month walking hand in hand with her little daughter to their Session made me smile – Christmas is coming, blessing us with new life in the Christ Child.
The early morning call to one of our Catechists, asking her if she would take two Groups because another Catechist had a sick child at home and couldn’t come and hearing her quick, joyful “Yes” brought another smile – we are a family in faith who supports each other.
And the second “Yes” from a substitute Catechist to take a Group after I saw the email letting me know that another Catechist couldn’t come brought a third smile – we are such blessings when we give ourselves to do God’s will.
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. John 1:9
I think I experienced flashes of the True Light yesterday that came into the world, who’s birth we celebrate at Christmas.
This last week of Advent let’s all strive to create more flashes of the True Light through our kind words to each other, our random acts of kindness, and through our kind thoughts.
At Christmas may that True Light that is the Christ Child fill your minds, hearts, and homes!
