My Dear Parishioners,
As of October 7, 2020, Ventura County has been given the Red Tier, so houses of worship have now reopened. Bishop Barron has given us permission to return inside the church for worship effective October 8. We will follow the same protocols that were put in place before. The allowed number of people inside the church is only 100. The church will only be opened during Masses for now.
Therefore, this weekend of October 17 and 18, we will return to regular schedule of Masses inside the church. On Saturdays, we have 5:00 p.m. English Mass and 7:00 p.m. Spanish Mass. On Sundays, we have Masses at 8:00 a.m. which will still be live-streamed, 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 5:00 p.m. Wearing a mask is certainly required and we will continue to observe social distancing. Communion will be received on the hand only, and will take place after the Final Blessing and Dismissal.
Confessions will be on Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. inside the Church at the designated locations.
The weekday Masses are now being celebrated publicly inside the church at 7:30 a.m. and will still be live-streamed.
Since we are just a few weeks before the Presidential Election, I would like to offer you important resources that will help form your conscience as you fill out the ballot to choose the one who you want to lead our country for the coming four years whose policies are more in line with our Catholic core values.

In order to be successful in carrying out our mission of renewing the face of the earth, we must be equipped to carry out the most basic act that a citizen can perform – voting. Polling has shown that fewer than 50% of self-identified Christians are registered to vote, and only half of those who are registered actually vote on Election Day. If we are to continue to thrive as a political force in this country, and if we expect our issues to be addressed in the public arena, then we must be capable to turning out in force when the polls are open. Obviously this is impossible if Christians are not registered to vote.
Each State has its own laws about who may register and vote. All States require that you be a United States citizen by birth or naturalization to register to vote in Federal and State elections. Federal law makes it illegal to falsely claim U.S. citizenship to register to vote in any Federal, State, or Local election. Moreover, you cannot be registered to vote in more than one place at a time.
It should be noted that if a person has moved, gotten married, or has failed to participate in past elections, their State law may require them to register again.
In order for an eligible voter, (18 years old and above), to vote, he or she must be registered first. October 19 is the last day to register.
Voter registration requirements vary from state to state. To find specific information for each state, go to www.priestsforlife.org/states. Registration forms can be obtained from your local voter registration office. You can also check your phone book under voter registration or call your county courthouse for additional information in your state.
Most states accept a National Voter Registration form, which can be downloaded from the internet. See www.priestsforlife.org/states for links to the form and the relevant instructions in each state. You can also contact your local Voter Registration Office.
Let us pray for a peaceful election and for the will of God to be done. May the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for us and inspire the hearts of all voters to vote with their conscience guided by love.

Mis Queridos Parroquianos,
A partir del 7 de octubre 2020, el Condado de Ventura se a movido al nivel rojo en cuanto se refiere a la pandemia, entonces los lugares de alabanza se han vuelto a abrir. El Obispo Barrón nos ha dado permiso de volver a abrir la iglesia para celebrar Misas a partir del 8 de octubre. Seguiremos los mismos protocolos que estaban anteriormente. Ósea, el número de personas adentro de la iglesia es solamente 100. Por el momento la iglesia solamente estará abierta para las Misas.
Entonces, este fin de semana 17 y 18 de octubre, vamos a regresar al horario habitual de las Misas adentro de la iglesia. Los sábados, tenemos la Misa en ingles a las 5:00p.m. y la Misa en español a las 7:00p.m. Los domingos tendremos Misas a las 8:00 a.m. la cual todavía será transmitida en vivo, a las 10:00 a.m., 12 del mediodía, y 5:00 p.m. Sigue siendo obligatorio el uso de mascarilla y el distanciamiento social. La Comunión debe ser recibida en las manos solamente y se llevara a cabo después de la bendición final y despedida.
Confesiones serán los sábados de 3:00 p.m. a 4:30 p.m. a dentro de la iglesia en lugares designados.
Las Misas diarias durante los días de semana ya se están celebrando adentro de la iglesia y con publico a las 7:30 a.m. y seguirán siendo transmitidas en vivo.

Para ser exitoso en llevar nuestra misión de renovar la cara de la tierra, debemos estar equipados para llevar acabo el acto más básico que un ciudadano puede hacer – votar. Encuestas han demostrado que menos de 50% de los que se identifican como Cristianos están registrados para votar, y solo la mitad de los que están registrados votan en el Dia de Elección. Si hemos de continuar prosperando como fuerza política en este país, y si esperamos que nuestros temas sean llevados al arena pública, entonces debemos ser capaz de salir en gran números cuando se habrán los lugares de votación. Obviamente, esto es imposible si los Cristianos no están registrados para votar.
Cada estado tiene sus propias leyes de quien puede registrarse y votar. Todos los estados requieren que usted sea un ciudadano de nacimiento o por naturalización de los Estados Unidos para poder registrase para votar en cualquier elección federal, estatal o local. Y, usted no puede estar registrado para votar en mas de un lugar a la vez.
